molly

Age: Approx 2 years
Size: large Medium
Sex: Female
Neutered: Yes
Live with Dogs: Yes, probably cats

Molly used to be fed by Stavroula when still living on the street. She lived together with one of her male puppies from a previous litter. One day it was apparent that she was pregnant, and after a few months of not having been seen, she reappeared, now with a new litter of 7. As so often, there was no space at the shelter so the only option was to continue to help feed her, and her puppies. When her puppy from her previous litter was cruelly poisoned, space was made for Molly and her puppies, to remove them from danger. At the shelter, it was clear that Molly was a fantastic mother and she cared very well for her puppies. Now they all have homes of their own, but poor Molly is still waiting. She is still young and would make a great family companion. Now spayed, she deserves to spend the rest of her lie without ever have to worry again about her puppies,, where to sleep, how to find food, and keep safe. She is a lovely tempered dog, very social and friendly, and we believe she would fit in to most kind of families, including children and other pets. She does guard her food, which is understandable, this needs to be taken in to consideration around feeding time and when given treats, and make sure she is given space to finish what was given to her, and that no human or other dog disturbs her, until she learns that food is always available. That is the only thing to keep in mind with her however, she is very clever and affectionate and she would bring many moments of joy to any family.
