REX  - NOW ADOPTED

Rex is almost four years old and he's been at the shelter since he was very young. Everyone who ever met Rex will tell you how special he is. He is such a happy dog and he loves people. He will hug you all day if he could.
Because Rex was attacked many times in the past he's become weary of male dogs. One final fight forced us to take him away from the shelter, and he's now at home with S. And as wonderful it might sound that he is in a house, it is not wonderful at all. He spends most of his time alone in a small room, desperately waiting for S to spend some time with him. But time is a luxury she doesn't have so besides a few cuddles a day, food and a walk if he's lucky, he is all alone. Rex is not a dog that should be alone and he is very unhappy. He thrives around people and not having any company is slowly killing him. It is heartbreaking really. We believe there must be someone out there who can love him as much as we do. He is medium sized, approx 25 kg's. He would be perfect as an only dog or possibly with a happy, easy going female. He is house trained and walks nicely on the lead. He is quiet when left alone, he doesn't chew or destroy anything. He would probably be too boisterous for young children as he will jump and hug every human around him, that is how much he loves them! Rex has leishmania, but is in good health and it is kept under control with just one pill a day (0.20 euro cent per pill). Dogs with leishmania can be insured for all non related leis matters, and can live as long and happily as any other dog. We hope there is someone out there who can look beyond this and give him a happily ever after. Because if there was ever a dog that deserved it, it is Rex.
So please friends, share Rex and help us take him out of that small room, into a house full of love.
